Where is she now? PTU 496B

Post by LewisF99 »

Does anyone know the where abouts of this Moggy?
(1964 Dove Grey 2 door - PTU 496B)

I sold her on a few years ago, and regretted it every since.
(my first morris minor)

Last "sighting" was on Marketplace in York up for sale again.
Owner at the time didn't sell her back to me, as he'd had a better offer, which is fair.

The car was a welded shell in a cream filler primer when last seen.
With a big green welded in section around the windscreen, where the A pillar had to be replaced.

I'm desperate to locate the car and possibly buy her back if the current owner is willing!

Date of last V5C (logbook) issued
17 September 2022
So you know it hasn't been sold since then and hasn't had the number plate sold.

It's also SORN, so could be under restoration, or could be a rusting wreck somewhere.
But someone apparently still has it.

Does the date given by Chief tie in with when you saw it for sale on marketplace??

Yes mate that date ties in!

I tried to buy her at the time but the chap sold her onto someone that offered him £100 over asking.

I think I would have paid the extra 100, for something I wanted, unless of course you didn’t know of the other offer at the time.
