I'm currently on a short break in Norfolk having brought our modest 3.2mtr 2 berth caravan here behind my Ford Kuga. The caravan is so light it's like pulling a medium size trailer.
On the way here along, twice the same driver pulled the same stupid stunt.
Single carriage way A Road.
In front of me, she would indicate and pull over to the RH of the two lanes to enter a roundabout. Both times the lane is clearly marked right turn only and I'm in the left lane marked left/straight ahead.
First roundabout we both pull away and she is so slow going around that I'm almost beside her on the left to take my exit when she suddenly, without indicating, swings to the left to exit, forcing me to brake hard as she muscled in.
When she tried it a little later at another roundabout I was even further ahead of her so she had to yield or go up on the traffic island.
She was deliberately getting into the wrong lane and then driving so ridiculously slowly.
After the 2nd time she hung back about 1/4 Mile before finally turning off.....

On the same stretch of road I saw an old 12 plate Ford Galaxy do the same thing. Except she tried it with a 40ft HGV. She went from being in front of it to behind it.....
I did wonder if the 2 women were just bad at driving in convoy......
What makes me laugh is these fancy sports cars who'll drive for miles behind a slower vehicle, rather than hang back, see whether road ahead is clear & wait for a point to overtake.
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
What makes me laugh is people in faster cars thinking I want to race them away from the lights.
Wow, aren't you the big man eh? Just beaten a Morris Minor from a standing start, obviously something to crow about.
Think it through. If I wanted a fast car, I wouldn't be driving a Morris Minor would I? And for my money, the sooner they are out of the way the better.

Sounds like another way of saying ——- ‘ travelling is better than arriving’ ? A quote that applies not only to car journeys !
How often do you dream of something with longing and if/when it’s achieved, it not as good as the dream !
One sad statistic that I read is that there are approximately 1,700 traffic related deaths in the UK each year....and if bends in roads are straightened out, and hidden dips filled in and roads improved, there would still be approximately 1,700 deaths because bad driver behaviour is the main cause.
The issues seem like the same stuff we have over here in the states...
The common sense and common courtesy that I was taught by my parents and my driver education teacher back in the day seems to have gone completely away now a days.
The need to be first in a line...the lack of patience too is a big issue here as well...
Having a car that is crazy fast even in stock form does not help the problem at all...
I long for the old days for sure.

ANOTHER one in my gripe file is new cars' indicators, in certain circumstances you simply can't see them - other annoyances are L shaped LCD headlamps, headlamps that go out when indicator used & automatic wipers - It's 2025 & technology should be the best, NOT made annoying

Another one :- unnecessary flashing lights on vehicles such as recovery trucks, also improper use of hazards.
But you can't clamp down on these things in broken bust Britain without the D*#*# M#*#* bleating on about elf & softee nanny state.

There seems to be a postcode lottery of how one is treated on the road.
I got my first minor in 1982, and have hardly been without one ever since. In the early days, when there were more minors on the road, I hardly experienced road rage.
Now I seem to experience incidents every time I drive my minor. I stick to the speed limit, and never hold other drivers up....but so many of them want to tailgate me, and can't wait to overtake...even in ridiculously dangerous places. I get pulled out on at junctions too. I have much less of this behaviour when I am driving my modern car, so the problem is not my driving style. Thje problem is people can't stand to be behind a minor.
Other people in the MMOC seem to have no road rage when driving their minors...they even have people taking photos, and giving them the thumbs up.
I drive my minor much less these days because of the intolerant behaviour.
