Yes it’s a decision made a long time ago, I think someone made a comment to a seller, who got upset, again I think it was a one off but was enough to ban any future enquiries in that particular section of the forum. Shame for those with a query about the sale.
Regarding the advert in question, looks like a Weber carb and LCB manifold etc, wonder what other mods there are.

I did spot is it has the very rare later style beige parcel tray (cut out to take the square heater instead of the round). Odd thing about that though is, they were only on duotone cars.

(which is the only part I'd have been interested in after a well known restorer threw mine out along with the beige crashbar, and never replaced the tray, and put in a black crashbar)

The beige parcel shelf is completely correct for that car because it is of that age. It doesn't have the duotone interior because that was only fitted to "Deluxe" models. The car in question is a "Standard" model and so has the single colour interior trim along with other more basic features

I thought only the Deluxe had the beige parcel tray, while the Standard had the black.

My '57 has stainless window trim as did/do both of my '60 donor cars; one had a tray but it was trashed; I still have the bar as I might add a mesh net a la VW and reinstall it. My '57 came with no inside trim whatsoever, so I don't know what Morris put in it; again, both donors have single color panels and seats. US imported vehicles must have came with stainless trim regardless of "level"? I'm fairly impressed, actually, with the endurance of Morris upholstery; the backing on the door cards will fail LONG before the covering perishes, and the seats will collapse alarmingly before they split. I just wish they'd used slightly thicker Bakelite for the steering wheel... I have three, two are badly split and one is fairly nice but wrong for the '57.
Looking at the intake and carby on the Ebay car, I'm also struck by how large that valve cover looks! I almost thought it was a diesel at first glance. Wondering also if that MM/Series 2 grille had actually been installed on a 1000 front clip..

Paladin, we had both standard and deluxe, but only in the USA did the 2 door saloon and convertible deluxe come with stainless door frames. Your vintage will have the beige (shallow style) or later Pearl Grey (full depth style) parcel shelf.

Now you mention it, that fan is from a transverse engined car, it’s blowing not sucking.

The duotone fits, that is as a 1964 model.
That option ceased that year, so my 1965 with duotone blue and cream is strictly speaking customised I suppose, but it looks fabulous.

Mine is 62 and has duotone and blue leather faced seats.
The bump rail is black but maybe replacement as the parcel shelf has been modified to take the later elephants trunk style heater.

But the crankshaft in a transverse car rotates in the same direction....and the radiator is still relatively in the same position ?

The fan blades fitted to the car in question are the pusher type and completely wrong for the Minor which has the puller type fan blades.
The blades of the fans fitted to transverse engines are angled the other way so as to push the air out through the radiator and out and away under the wing.
A transverse fan is no good on a inline engine as it will always be trying to push the air forward against the the natural flow of air as the vehicle moves forward. In some instances especially a multiblade fan as fitted could negate the cooling air flow and lead to overheating.

Look again, engine rotates clockwise the fan blades are angled to blow.
My reference to transverse engine is to the Mini or BMC 1100/1300 where the radiator is at the side, they blow air outwards other wise it would pull the spray grime from the road wheel into the radiator and quickly block it.
I wonder how many have made the same mistake.

If you want to fit a multiblade plastic fan the multiblade plastic fan from the later MG Midget is most suitable.

I used to find my self explaining how the cooling system on my Fiat 600 worked.

Contrary to popular belief the fan sucked air in through the louvres on the engine lid, blew it through the radiator and from there it exited via a thermostatically controlled flap under the car.

Worked very well, just another way of looking at things.

If you reverse the fan the blade pitch will still be the same just rotated 180 deg. It will not change the air flow direction.
A blower is a blower and sucker is a sucker it in the construction.
The means you were joking I assume
