2025 National Rally
I have just received my copy of Minor Matters and the National Rally entry form.
I am rather confused about the difference between the Registration and Pre-Registration categories. I understand the requirement for all attendees to be registered but if I fill all the details in on the form, does that make me pre-registered? One is £17pp and the other £20pp payable on the day. What is the difference and which boxes should I tick if I wish to go on both days and send the form off now?
Am I being thick?!

Re: 2025 National Rally
No, it doesn't exactly spell it out in plain language; the information is all there; it's a bit like Eric Morecambe's piano playing, 'all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order'.
Register Now and pay Now = £17
Register now but pay on the door = £20
Prior Registration before arrival is essential for details to be collated for College security teams.
It's in the bold paragraph at the top of the sheet.
When the Armed Forces dedicated Fire Training Centre at RAF Manston in Kent closed (2020), training transferred to Morton-in-Marsh and the "Defence Fire Training Unit" as part of the College.

Re: 2025 National Rally
Thank for your clarification. It make more sence now.
I was only planing to go for 1 day but staying in the area in the mean time to do some sight seeing. Just not sure which day. Sat or Sunday.

Re: 2025 National Rally
I know I will get some stick over this but here goes, !!!!! When you add up the costs involved for two people, it is very expensive. It has put us 2 OAPs off from attending. £5 a head for the afternoon to park your car and have a walk round meet friends for a chat have a Tea or coffee then later on head back home would be more reasonable. Take the entrance fee, £17 per person or £20 on the Day x 2, If the 2 of you want to have Bangers and Mash later on at the Saturday night party, £15 X 2 £30. If 2 of you camp for 3 nights, it will be £45. If you want breakfast for 2 people for 3 mornings £78 . Needless to say, our small group will not be attending, We realise that costs need to be covered to put on the event however it does seem a little expensive...

Re: 2025 National Rally
I saw a post somewhere (might have been on FB) where someone was saying that the price of tickets had only increased by £1 from last year. Fair enough. But what seems to have been forgotten was that if you want to attend both days, then it is double the cost of last year as the second day was free at Gaydon last year whereas this year you have to pay for both days.
Re: 2025 National Rally
Good news: The second day is still free in 2025. You pay just once for either or both days, same price.
More good news: The online booking form is available. Click <MMOC Home> in the breadcrumbs below the banner, then select <Events>. Note: You must be logged in to the www site to access the form.

Re: 2025 National Rally
Does anyone know what time the gates open on Saturday please? We have registered but I can’t find any details. We haven’t been before but hope to have the pickup back on the road in time.
Many thanks
Andrew

Rally "opens" at 10:00 but admittance to site from 08:30.
A timely reminder to anyone attending: you MUST book in advance and supply your vehicle details and the names of all attending in your party, you cannot simply turn up on the day. You can pay on arrival as long as you have booked. If paying when booking, then please do not use cheques, but phone the office to pay by card. This is due to the post taking up to four weeks to arrive! Thanks.

Fantastic, thanks.
We’ll aim to get there early avoid traffic. Travelling from Wimborne via Salisbury, Swindon and Cirencester. It’ll be the furthest it’s driven in many many years!

Re: 2025 National Rally
Looks like you're travelling a little further than I am.
I've just booked for the Saturday, about 90 miles each way.
I did a trip to the Car event at Sandringham a couple of weeks ago and that was 70 each way, which was a comfortable enough rehearsal drive.

Re: 2025 National Rally
My rear springs arrived today so I can get the axle back on tomorrow. I’ve got to replace the tie bar brackets, track rod end rubbers, put the tub back on and replace the door seals before we’re ready to hit the road. The springs will benefit from a little load so I’ll make sure we have a good set of spares and tools on board just in case! Won’t get many miles in between now and then. It’s our first time and I’m really looking forward to it. I hope for lovely weather.
