Temperature sensor threads.
Hi, does anyone know what the threads are for the temperature sender in the block of a 1098 engine, mine has a smallish electronic sender fitted into a larger brass plug just below the thermostat housing, the car is still positive earth and the current gauge doesn't work, I have tried 2 senders although the gauge is a cheap one. I have been offered a used but second hand good quality gauge with capillary tube directly to block, I believe it was fitted to a classic seventies Japanese car, I have not seen it yet but assume it's metric so I will need to get an adapter but don't know the block threads on the engine, any help thanks, Steve

Thank you that gives me something to go on now for getting an adapter, I really don't like not having a temperature gauge fitted especially on a car I don't know.

Re: Temperature sensor threads.
The capillary in my picture is a cheap smiths replica off fleabay and screws directly in with no adaptor.
