Hello All,
I’ve had a steady oil dribble from the front / rear tappet chest covers for a while now - I assume with a little manoeuvring it should be possible to change both gaskets without removing exhaust manifold & carb ?
From the photos attached could you confirm I’ve got the correct gaskets for the concave covers ? (1968 - standard 1098 Traveller).
Any advice, others experience / tips most welcome….
Kind regards.

Re: Tappet Chest cover leak….
They are the correct valve chest cover gaskets for the 1098cc engine.
You also need the neoprene washers that go between the cup under the cover bolt head and cover.

The covers can be removed and gaskets replaced with the exhaust in place.
