Floor 1/4 replacement

Post by Tony.Baxter »

Hi all, our 1963 four door saloon is a daily driver. But, though it was restored a few years ago, actually really quite a few years ago, there are some panels needing attention. The passenger side floor is the worst. My wife is away for a week and whilst she's gone, I can use her car. So, is it feasible to attack just that 1/4 floor section without ending up with the car in bits on the driveway?
I have the new panel, I have the welding kit, on the face of it, it doesn't seem that complicated. Obviously there is the exhaust under that section, plus the heat shield, I do have a new one.
Is there something I'm missing that may make this a bigger job than I think?
Many thanks.
