Droning noise at low speed
Noise starts at very low speed and gone by 50 mph. It also goes on braking and on turning left. The front brakes are discs and were pulling to the NS. The OS pads were sticking, so cleaned up pads and caliper and all good after a road test but the new droning noise started. The diff has some whine mainly around 50 mph but this noise is not quite the same.
Re: Droning noise at low speed
Does the pitch change with engine speed, road speed, or neither?

Re: Droning noise at low speed
Seems like it may be wheel bearings? Only when turning left, not while turning right?
First check, really, is to check hub temperatures at the front after a reasonable run - to check if one side is appreciably hotter than the other.

Re: Droning noise at low speed
Noise starts by about 10/15 mph seems to not change until much faster when I cannot hear it but may be masked by other noises. Checked the front wheel bearings and NS had some play so adjusted as taper type but noise still there. There are mud flaps fitted and noted they have been rubbing on the wheel at the top/inner but looks as if before this problem. Checked all 4 wheels and all cold after a run. Fronts rotate freely when jacked up. Not checked back but car can be pushed by hand easily back and forth.
