Disc brake conversion
just fitted a morris marina disc brake conversionto my 69 saloon . I removed the master cylinder ,refitted a new seal kit and deleted the cup from the kit as per instructions. Refitted everything bleed the brakes. I then set the pedal clearance up . Road teasted in the yard all ok. Went for a road test and the pedal went solid and the front brakes locked on . I released some fluid from the one of the rear cylinders and the pedal came back. Do i need to give the pedal some more clearance.

Re: Disc brake conversion
Shame as disc brakes are a vast improvement on a Minor. I have Ford based disks fitted thirty years ago and at one time suffered the same as you. It seemed that the brakes were on all the time and the pedal was solid. I fitted a replacement master cylinder and all has been well since. It could be the adjustment is to tight and not allowing the piston to find its proper resting place. Worth a go as that is free to do. Failing that, recheck every thing you have touched, especially the master cylinder. I knoe it is a pain to take out but this problem has to be fixed. Good luck.

Re: Disc brake conversion
I would start by rechecking the set up of the MC and the operating rod...

If you have a remote servo in-line, it could be the air valve sticking....usually on cheap servos , there is a spring mod. or an O ring mod...
