I have a 1962 948cc convertible, an original car. I have been given a spare door that a friend had on his 1952 MM convertible. I want to paint the door before fitting, is anyone able to confirm that it will be a straight replacement before I spray it and find it doesn't fit.
Thanks
Stuart

Re: Door replacement
I can’t answer you question directly but to eliminate any uncertainty, I’d be inclined to fit it and see.

Re: Door replacement
All I can suggest is that since you have both doors, is closely compare them.
Unlike other changes between MM and Series II onwards, the only differences I know of in doors is around handles and locks.
Introducing the 'in-handle' key on cars and some GPO postal changes on vans for security.
As Les says try fitting it.
You don't need to worry about the niceties of correct adjustment, just when on its hinges, can you hold it in the body shell.?
