Hi all, can anyone tell me please whether the underside of the minor million dash had 2 sets of holes factory drilled for a washer pump bracket to be fitted? - I think the answer is No they didn't but I just wanted to ask. I am still unsure as to the exact date the washer pumps were first factory fitted / or offered as an optional extra to the dash but I believe its around late 1961/1962? . The holes were drilled (as circled in the below photo) and this would be done on both sides to accommodate LHD And RHD vehicles.
Many thanks

This is the bracket the holes were designed to be fitted to.

Everything I have read tells me the Minor Million was different only in its colour and badges.
" Apart from the paintwork and interior trim these were otherwise completely standard 948cc two doors."
Paul Skilleter, Morris Minor, the worlds supreme small car.

I would say no, because they were usually offered as a Dealer fit item until they became a legal requirement.
As moggiethouable says, the Million was essentially just a paint and trim package.
You can always download yourself a copy of the Body Parts Book AKD 3542 and check the change points for the Panel - Instrument.

Re: Did the minor million have factory fitted holes for a washer pump?
Both our '63 cars have the pumps fitted, and the dash has guide indentations (not holes) for where they'd be if they were LHD cars so reckon they at least were factory fitted (both Deluxe models as an aside).
I would say that the pump and bracket shown, it looks like someone took an electric drill to the bracket to have got the left hole two holes in length.
I also wonder if the knurled thumb wheel were unscrewed to release the Wingaard label, whether turning it around would show it to be fitted the wrong way round (either that or all the lettering has faded off - but ours has lasted for 61 years).
