Hi all
Can anyone tell me what size bolts they've used to attach a 948 engine to a metric engine stand please?

Hi, I am not sure how you are going to attach a stand to your engine. I assume it has arms with long slots to allow you to bolt onto the back of the flywheel. If so you will need appropriately long enough bolts of the same thread as the clutch bolts. I do not know there size but it would be something like 1/4 BSF. Mabe send a picture of what you have and some one will be able to help you better.

Re: Help - Bolts for 948 engine to engine stand.
I do not know where you get the Metric idea from - please enlarge.
If you attach the Machine Mart type engine stand to the rear of the engine you need qty 4 lengths of 5/16" UNF studding with qty 4 thick manifold washers and qty 4, 5/16" UNF nuts. The studs are fitted into the rear engine plate/bell housing bolt holes. You will have to arrange the engine stand mounting arms to suit. The studding fits through the mounting arms.
If you attach the engine stand to the side of the engine at the filter housing you will need qty 2, 3/8" UNC studs, qty 2, 3/8" UNC nuts and two 5/16" UNF bolts for where the stand attaches to the dynamo mounting holes.
I have moved on from the standard Machine Mart engine stand to using the adapter in the link below.

It is much better because you can fit everything to the engine other than the oil filter housing. It is easier to fit and rotate the crankshaft etc.
