Re: Major project
Whilst I am an avid Minor enthusiast I would personally draw the line at trying to restore the Minor shown in the photos above.
That Reliant Fox/Kitten looks to be a more appealing project especially if converting the vehicle to Tempest specification.

I’m still trying to decide if Frank is winding us up Some challenge but I would imagine a rethink might be in order when someone attempts to move it !
Re: Major project
That is one heck of a project. It seems to me that virtually every moggy will require some work but for around €3k you can pick up a 4-door model that doesn't need too much done. It might work out cheaper in the end, assuming there is no sentimental value in that particular car and your daughter isn't fussed about having a split screen.

Yes, I agree. Funnily enough a local dealer, knowing of my interest in Morris Minors was only telling me a few days ago about an "almost immaculate" Series 11 Minor of that model which he knows of for sale for £3500.rocco wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 7:50 pm That is one heck of a project. Re: Major project
Good luck with it all. That's a bigger project than I would be willing to start now. Not easy to find the correct parts for those earlier cars anymore. You'll have to do some searching I expect. It'll certainly keep you occupied
Re: Major project
I would use it as a parts car maybe....or build it into a hot rod..2x3 steel tube chassis and a more modern suspension and running gear...dont paint it either, just fix the rotted sections and save the "patina" on it..
Just a thought.
Good luck either way you decide to go.
