I use a disklock, you need the large one for the standard steering wheel.
They are Thatcham approved, are very visible and a good deterrent.
To put off cloners, a cheap etching kit is useful, etch each window with your number plate, kits are cheap, 20-30 quid.
I also use a battery discarnect on the battery with a spring washer to avoid it vibrating out.
In the old days we would upon parking remove the rotor arm.
