I have a Traveller which I bought with a 1275cc Marina engine and a Ford Type 9 Five speed gearbox already installed. I am starting to have problems with the clutch and, as it is a non standard installation, I need to know the type/size of replacement clutch and thrust bearing required for replacement. Any ideas?
Further to the above, the Seller (Charles Ware) indicated that the Type 9 was from a Ford Sierra.

Re: What Clutch?
ESM supply all the parts you require.

The 1098cc clutch cover should be suitable.
The release bearing could be a plain carbon thrust or a ball bearing release. You should be able to determine what type by looking through the unused clutch release lever hole in the bell housing.
I would recommend that you speak with ESM so as to ensure that you are getting the right parts

Re: What Clutch?
Thanks Phil, but the ESM kit you directed me to says not suitable for 1275 engine.

Re: What Clutch?
The flywheel which is a modified 1098cc item suitable for use with the Marina 1275cc engine/crankshaft uses a 7.5" dia clutch which is the same dia as the 1098cc clutch plate. The only difference between the Morris and Ford 7.5" clutch plates is the number of splines at their centre.
For information and shown below is the link to the modified flywheel suitable for use with the Marina engine.

The 1275cc MG Midget/Sprite uses a smaller clutch than that used with the Marina conversion so ESM are part right in that the plate in my link will not fit a standard 1275cc MG Midget/Sprite.
As an aside a 7.5" dia clutch can be fitted to the 1275cc MG Midget/Sprite flywheel if the flywheel is refaced and indexed drilled to suit the 7.5" dia clutch. Been there and done that several times.
Below is one of my 1275cc MG Midget/Sprite flywheels modified to take a 7.5" dia clutch.

Re: What Clutch?
So, reading between the lines, as the type 9 is already mated to the marina engine it would follow that the flywheel has already been modified. Thus what ESM sells, as shown, would be correct for my set up. What about thrust bearing?

Re: What Clutch?
Your assumption is correct.
As I pointed out above you will need to determine the type of thrust by looking through the spare bell housing hole.
