Not the most expensive gauge in the world and done from stone cold. Compression check / From front to back my readings were.
1/. 160.
2/. 150.
3/. 160.
4/. 159 .
This should be good should it not. The plugs were black but then as the centre stud was broke and engine half choked at times ,as it took me a while to find choke stud that holds bracket was broke just sitting there and let the spring off so cable was not properly working choke but that ends sorted now I am hoping be running cleaner now.

I'd be happy wit those. I would repeat number 2 to see if it gets any closer to the others. As those were dry readings, it would be interesting to add a little oil and repeat all readings to see if there's any significant difference; and check valve clearances on number 2; but nothing of concern.

Thanks I’m going to reset the tabets at week end
As you say might try bit of oil , it’s a cheap gauge so might be worth doing again anyhow to see if readings are close to todays.
