Inner wing removal
So needing replace part of inner wing question is which is best way to remove old one

Started cutting out bit to see what dealing with not as bad as looks couple.patches then new inner wing panel and a panel welded in

Mine was in a similar state (see resto thread for pics). I found that it was hard to patch and have ended up replacing the sill in order to get A post strength back. Hope yours is a bit easier.

Looks like you need to patch the 'kidney' panel as well as the inner wheel arch. If I were you I would cut out as much of the rot as I could, whilst remembering to go easy so that the structure of the car is not compromised. In the second pic it looks like you've been using a grinding wheel to cut the panels - I would recommend using proper cutting discs as it's so much easier and quicker.

Hi guys I have started welding up and have git the strength back in door pillar got bit to do yeat not the prettiest but solid and strong should be finished wing back on by weekend

Did cut out all rot and welded up under them.outer panels also and I painted it all with seem sealer and paint to protect.it so should be OK

Bootlid repair panel from esm cut bootlid but out tried new panel just doesn't fit and seem short on each side giving me a right headache been looking can't find decent bootlid to just replace it but the panel from esm just doesn't t seem right at all looks totally off

Bootlid welded up with new panel skimmed with filler repairing to paint also wing back on as all welding under neath done getting there painting soon

Thanks very.much need look for minor and 1000 badge for bootlid when removing mines seem they have been broke in past and refined with glue so be set badges to put onnwhen painted getting there go long way to go yet though thanks

Another day at it timmorow prepping wing bootlid sanding any bit no happy with possible get her taped ready for painting day after hopefully been non stop but glad to making progress and positive comment alway help me find extra push to finish off thanks for good comment appreciate it

Hope to have ir painted this weekend then polish full car before fitting new lights on frontnafter welding up front wings to accommodate also will be fitting new rear lights and adding indicators all round new old stock bonnet badge looks great getting excited now
