Which clutch
I was kindly advised at one point of a clutch kit for my moggie by Phil I believe. As I can't find the post could you please advise again a clutch kit for the 1275 ital engine with a Ford type 9 gearbox.A friend asked why can't you just put in a Ford clutch but I don't recall it being that straight forward with my setup.

Re: Which clutch
Further to my post we have been doing a lot of work on the clutch release system .Did lots of adjustment still appears to have clutch slop.I was advised when the engine was rebuilt that the vlutch looked OK but msy have oil on it.But more to the point when I pull off in first the car pulls ok but up in to second and the engine races as if clutch slip so I take my foot off the gas a bit to ease it.Just strange that if it pulls on first why not second ?.

Re: Which clutch
The clutch will slip in second as you are putting more load on the oil soaked centre plate. First gear will not produce so much loading due to the lower gearing.
You will have to use a Ford centre plate as the splines are finer than the 'A' series clutch.

This is the clutch kit you will require and is available from ESM

This is the flywheel you should have for the engine/gearbox combination you have :-

Re: Which clutch
You will need either but not both.
I listed the plate because your pressure plate may have been alright and therefore could be used again therefore alleviating the need to spend additional money.

Re: Which clutch
Thank you my only issue is if oil has got on to the flat plate from the engine is it possible oil could get on the other part as I guess they are in contact in which case I would be best to get both.Whst would you think please.

Re: Which clutch
If oil has got onto the clutch from the engine you need to cure that oil leak before fitting a new clutch otherwise you are just wasting your time..
The Marina/Ital clutch is totally different to the one you need.
The links I posted above are the parts you need but I would check with ESM to confirm that I am correct.
