I'm definitely not the s*d it that will do type either. An observation re the ESM spring/bush kit:-
The commercial variants of the Minor did not have rubber or poly spring pads. The pads were solid steel.
The steel pads are no longer available so the obvious thing is to fit poly pads.
The nearest you can get to the steel pads are alloy pads from Peter May Engineering.
The original style steel pads can be easily manufactured. I made a set (see below) to use on my Minor from patterns supplied by Les but have since elected to use the Peter May Engineering alloy pads. Below is a photo of the factory steel spring plates as supplied by Les The raised central boss which fits into the axle locating hole is brazed to the large flat plate.

Nice job Phil, fortunately my steel plates are still serviceable.
