how can I tell if my minor is leaded or not

engine is 948 H69638

any help appreciated

No Minor was ever supplied as suitable for 'unleaded' so
the engine number will not tell you. The only way is to be told
by a previous owner who actually fitted a modified head (and
to see the bills to prove it perferably).

its been in my m8s garage for 10 yrs and was suposed to fitted with a recon engine at that time? its most likely leaded then do you think

I would say so, more than likely. The only way to tell is to take the head off and have a look (not a good option).

Best to use unleaded with a protective additive such as Castrol Valvemaster or Valvemaster Plus.

I wouldn't bet on it and, since you could wreck the head if
you guess wrong i would use the approved additives as
suggested.

Yes, but only the approved ones, such as Castrol Valvemaster, Reddex, Millers, etc.
