Early Boot Stay Rubber
How many people out there would like a new rubber block to hold their early type boot stay? Mine holds the stay till about 10 seconds after you close the boot, then you hear it fall out, V irritating.

stay
My 1957 is original in the bootal area and like Cam it has
a metal clip not rubber. The design is such that it could not
possibly fall out. Have a look at some other Minors.

rubber block
The car is a 1959 model. The metal clip was earlier. I've never seen these blocks for sale so was wondering if it would be worth having a batch manufactured.

I've got one of those rubber blocks on Phyllis (62). It seems to hold the stay surprisingly well, although it is a little bit perished?
Before making any new ones... how does it fit on? Is it just a push-fit, or is it more difficult than that?

Happy Minoring!

How does the eblock fit
The block fits into a slot cut in the inner skin of the boot lid. It's essentially a sausage shaped blanking grommet.
