I come back to you after a bit of a disaster
I got the oil pressure adaptor pickup as suggested further up the post. I thought I’d have a go at fitting it. Seemed reasonably simple. Reversal of removal etc.
Anyway, this is where the disaster begins.
I couldn’t get the angle correct to fit the ‘nut’ to the engine and I was conscious of not damaging the engine/thread So I thought if I were to remove it from the filter side I’d have a bit more flexibility. This worked… however when I came to refit the filter side it managed to completely mash up the double ended nut thing

It appears as though the pipe-side thread is okay
So, yes. Does anyone know what that nut thing is called? My plan is to buy a new one and try again. I’ll also change the filter incase any ‘swarf’ made its way into the hole. I think this is unlikely, but I suppose it’s good to be safe.
