Tyre pressures
Hi, I have a 1959 Traveller with radial tyres fitted. They are 145 R14 76S. Any ideas on what the tyre pressure should be? Thank you!

Re: Tyre pressures
We also run a 1959 Traveller on 145/80 R14 76T radial tyres. I'm not sure it quite answers your question but for what it's worth we run 28psi all round.

I agree that 28psi should be fine but here is the info from the original BMC handbook.

Thank you…that’s really helpful.ManyMinors wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 5:25 pm I agree that 28psi should be fine but here is the info from the original BMC handbook.tyre pressures.JPG
Re: Tyre pressures
Remember that the manual was written for crossply tyres, radials would be a little higher. I run two Travellers, 28 all round normal, 32 on rear when fully loaded or towing.

Re: Tyre pressures
No, that is not the case. The drivers handbook specifically mentions radial tyres too which were available as an option

Fair point, I did not look at the image posted, only at the copy of the handbook I have on the desk, and that, being an early edition, quotes only cross ply.
