Not yet but makes it worth shopping around. Most companies I believe have increased prices but worth trying anyway I would think.
Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
I found them quite reasonable. You can of course shop around, I personally didn’t want the hassle, to maybe save a couple of quid.
Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
Morning best price i found was coops insurance worth a phone call.
Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
You can report the jump to the MMOC office who have a good relationship with FJ. No promise that they can get it reduced, but it will be flagged to FJ, and FJ might look at it again, or at least explain to you why it's gone up.

Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
I've recently had my renewal come in from my broker, Hagerty.
A similar percentage increase, in fact mine is 23%.
It's pretty much across the board, this report from last month says "Quotes for car insurance policies were up a third in the year leading up to May 2023, "...

In my case, I'm not going to bother shopping around this year, because the actual amount involved isn't really worth the time I'll spend looking.

Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
Has anything not gone up in price recently?
Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
I’ve always used AIB specialist insurers and this year the premium went up by about 10%, a quick phone call reduced it by a similar percentage to lower than last year. They managed to find an introductory incentive and added that (or reduced it). I said nothing but I thought they always had to offer any introductory discounts to existing companies? Anyway tried it on the day car insurance and managed to get that down from£224 to £180. Worth a phone call always.

Re: FOOTMAN JAMES CLUB INSURANCE
I know insurance varies widely in price according to many factors (location, driver history, annual mileage etc) but that seems expensive. Mine was £67 fully comprehensive this year with Adrian Flux (and it includes breakdown cover as well). That is based on 3,000 miles per annum and the car always being parked in a locked garage overnight when at home. For a convertible this is no hardship because the car does not live outside anyway (and never has).Grumpy21 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:09 am I’ve always used AIB specialist insurers and this year the premium went up by about 10%, a quick phone call reduced it by a similar percentage to lower than last year.
