Morris Minor Owners North West

Post by MWerner78 »

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone would be able to help or at least point me in the right direction, sorry its a bit of a long one...

My partner's Dad was diagnosed with Leukemia at the end of 2019. He received two rounds of chemotherapy and a Stem Cell transplant, from his brother. Things were going well for a while and his Leukemia went into remission.

In January 2022, shortly after finding out we were expecting a child, my partner's Dad was told he had a secondary cancer, that unfortunately is terminal.

He started chemotherapy injections to extend his life but the treatment is no longer working.

My partner and I have arranged to have our little girl christened on the 30th April but we have also decided (last minute) to get married so that her Dad is able to walk her down the aisle. This is going to be a complete surprise her Dad and we don't want him to find out until that morning.

Although he has never been able to drive, he has always had a great love for Morris Minors and always said he would've loved to have owned one.

We were hoping that my partner would be able to pick him from his house in a Morris Minor and be driven to the church with him (a 10 minute drive) for the christening/wedding.

We are based in Bolton BL2 and were wondering if there are any Morris Minor owners locally that may be able to help us out and make one of her Dad's dreams come true.

If you are able to help on the day or want any further details, please email me on markwerner44@hotmail.com.

Kind regards,

Mark

Full-on "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" dress did squeeze into the rear seat of my 2-door Minor. I did remove the front passenger seat though.
