A very high standard of work there. You've done well to find a garage capable of such repairs. A lot of time is involved making repair panels fit that well.

Hi Mike, the Morris won’t be my every day car if that’s what you mean. 😀
Busy collecting parts for my '52 MM Convertible and 1949 Saloon restorations. :o

Hi Ian,
No, just hoping it will see the open road again, under its own power.
It would be nice to bump into you both at some point (not literally of course  ) and see the finished car up and running.
Sadly some people are terrified of getting 'stonechips' after such an extensive restoration.
Best wishes,
Mike.

1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......

Hi Mike, the car will be on the road eventually but I can’t say when at the moment. It looks like I might have to wait six months for the paint.

With regards to stone chips, my theory is that they only really happen at speed and when the car is too close to the vehicle in front. Don’t ask me how I know - and as I won’t be doing that in the finished car I don’t see that is a problem.

Better to wait for warmer weather for painting anyway.
I look forward to the next instalment.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Last active June 02 2022, almost three years ago now.
Hopefully he's okay, also shame if the Minor never got finished after he put in so much work.
Of course he may simply have 'migrated' to Facebook like so many others....
Best wishes,
Mike.
