Apologies if this has been covered already.
I have been offered a good Maestro 1275 engine for a fair price.
Presumably the "front" of the engine just needs the same modifications as a Marina engine.
The information I have been able to find indicates that the rear of the crank needs to be turned down to fit the Minor flywheel and clutch assembly.
Any advice would be welcome.

Re: Maestro engine into Minor
There is quite a bit of information regarding the fitment of the Maestro engine into the Minor on this web site.
It is not just a matter of turning the rear of the crankshaft to suit the flywheel, there are other factors that need to be taken into consideration
Use the search facility for further details.

Re: Maestro engine into Minor
The picture below shows what needs doing to make it fit.
it's a fair bit of machining and the engine will be about 19mm longer.
you will also need a flywheel, We are using MX5 gearbox and making a new backplate to suit, fortunately a MX5 flywheel bolts to the maestro crank with some machining (removing the boss in the centre of the crank), to bolt to a minor gearbox you will probably need a custom flywheel.
