Hi guys just taken the timing chain cover off to change to Duplex chains and found there is no timing dimple dot on crankshaft sprocket there is a slight raised pointer i am assuming this is the timing mark.
Someone has possibly just changed the camshaft sprocket and chain only don't you just love it half a job again ??

Re: Timing chain
The little pointer on the crank sprocket and the dot on the camshaft sprocket should be aligned to get the camshaft timing correct.
The duplex set up is a much better set up than the simplex with rubber ring tensioners.

Re: Timing chain
Update duplex conversion done didn't go to plan
I thought it was possible to change to Duplex with the front panel on but no such luck couldn't get in to countersink the 2 bottom screws so ended up removing the front end engine plate and countersink in my workshop.
Anyway all done now and well worth the effort all nice and quite
Thanks for looking
