Traveller Rear Window wipers
Has anyone installed rear window/doors wipers? If so, how easy/difficult?
Re: Traveller Rear Window wipers
I did it years ago using 90 degree sweep marine wipers, one motor mounted on each door. Dead easy to drill a hole through the wood, but the motors do stick out quite a long way and can get knocked when using the load area. I'm sorry, I don't still have the car so I can't post any photos.
Early landrover wipers would probably also work as you need the spindle drive direct with no rack. I did also look at using a Minor motor mounted low on the door with a modified rack up to the wiper, but found that the angles were not very good and that the motor and rack fouled the load bay floor.

Re: Traveller Rear Window wipers
Thanks for the info. I am currently looking at using Mini Clubman rear door wipers as they are "handed". Anyone have any thoughts?

I have now binned the idea - too difficult!

Brings back memories
I fitted a rear wiper to an early mini, in the late sixties, got a few laughs as unheard of then. Now unheard of without one!!
