1098 water pump

Hi everyone am new to this site,can anyone help with water pump I am fitting a 1098 engine in to a 1953 z van the problem I have is the length of water pump is there any shorter ones from pulley to fan blades?

I am not aware of any short water pumps suitable for the 'A' Series engine.
A way to over come the problem is to fit a electric cooling fan instead of the metal fan blades.

If the pump was shorter and being driven from the crank as per original then wouldn't the fan belt be out of line?

You could get a short pump made, I've made a few over the years for custom applications,

or you could look at an electric pump like "Davis craig" they are probably the best known but there are other brands out there.
