3 pronged flasher unit

there are 3 wires that connect to this direction flasher labeled X,P,L...1 wire is hot when the key is turned on. Which terminal should the hot wire attach to????

RAMAJON.... since I am having trouble sending you a readable wiring
diagram this may help re the flasher unit. 'L' should have a green/brown
stripe wire on which goes to terminal 1 on the relay unit. 'X' is a green
wire from the fuse. 'P' is a light green wire to the direction warning
light.

RAMAJON... may have cracked the problem! Will try to scan in
'lineart' format seems much better on test.

the wiring diagram did the trick...also was the same color wires as o&shy;n my bugeye diagram (not so o&shy;n the bugeye itself) problem related to the second A4 terminal which should have been hot but wasn't...an easy fix and all is well with the 59 morris convertible...thanks very much<br>
