electrical short

turned on my light switch for the first time after getting 59 morris convertible...a wire burned to the back passanger side tail lite assembly...the wire starts at the light switch where ther were 3 red wires together attached by a largish scew tab...any one have a wire diagram that they could post or email me??? anyone have an idea of what went wrong???

found the short...a fuse was placed in wrong and must have shorted that wire...still having electric issues...horn works 1 minute and then not...direction signals did work now they don't...wipers did work now the don't...oh well electrics!!!!!

If wipers and indicators have both stopped check the 35amp fuse between A3 and A4 in the fusebox.

Both (I think on a '59, otherwise the two top fuses) fuses often come loose in the springy brass contacts, causing all sorts of problems, intermittent and otherwise. Clean the contacts, and try judiciously bending them so that they grip the fuses a bit more tightly.
