Still struggling bleeding brakes
I'm still struggling to get a decent firm pedal. It's driving me mad!
I've been round the car umpteen times using the two man bleeding method.
I don't seem to be getting any 'proper' (big) air bubbles out any more but I do get streams of REALLY TINY bubbles every now and again.
I get periods of no bubbles at all (clear fluid) for 5,6,7 pumps and then, randomly, a stream of tiny bubbles.
All the above observed in a clear tube close to the bleed nipple.
Does this pattern of tiny bubbles indicate/suggest that there might be something wrong with the master cylinder?
TIA Chris

Re: Still struggling bleeding brakes
Before you can utilise the Ezibleed system you will need an adapted Minor non vented master cylinder cap.
Re: Still struggling bleeding brakes
Ah right. What do you need to do to modify the cap?philthehill wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 5:27 pm Before you can utilise the Ezibleed system you will need an adapted Minor non vented master cylinder cap.

Is it a new system or just a repair.? I have found air under thr brake switch to be a problem in the past

Re: Still struggling bleeding brakes
You need the non vented cap from ESM.

The cap needs to be drilled and tapped and an adapter union fitted to suit the Ezibleed pipe.
Use the search facility for further details.

In your expert opinion, do you think the Eezibleed method is the best way of bleeding minor brakes?

Re: Still struggling bleeding brakes
There is no best way for bleeding the brakes on Minor. They either bleed well or are an absolute pig.
The Ezibleed system used with the modified cap is as good as any - especially if you are on your own.
Having the Ezibleed line pressure and the additional brake fluid in the Ezibleed container helps considerably.

Thanks Phil. I wonder why some systems bleed easily and some don't. Seems strange.philthehill wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 7:38 pm There is no best way for bleeding the brakes on Minor. They either bleed well or are an absolute pig.

Re: Still struggling bleeding brakes
I wish I knew that answer. I have 2 minors at other ends of the spectrum. 1 bleeds easily the other is a pig. And it's always me bleeding them so I cannot understand the difference
