Insurance.
Direct line won't touch my moggie pickup.
Can you guys and gals give me a list of people who do insure moggie pickups so I can start looking at quotes?
Your help is always appreciated.

If you've got a fairly decent driving history and your pickup is standard I'd thoroughly recommend using Footman James Classic Car Insurances. I'm 25 and have some claims on my policy but they still insured me for under £200 a year for a largish agreed value and unlimited milage!

It was a bit of a struggle finding someone to insure my pick ups, yeah. Footman James would, and were v. helpful and pretty cheap as well - £113 for two of them fully comp on the same policy, spotless licence, fairly rural location and 40 long weary years old.

Richardson Hosken are worth a try as well- they usually give competetive quotes and I've heard good things from folk who've had to make a claim.

Other than that, Minor Matters run adverts every issue for insurers.

Has anybody tried AON for pickups? I have 2 cars insured with them on the same policy (I'm 22, 3 points and one car is modified) costs £173 unlimited miles for both.

RE: Re: Insurance.
Hello,
I'm glad to see someone has mentioned insurance as I will need to find a quote when my morris is finished. Will Footman James and Richardson Hosken insure young drivers (18/19), it will be my first car.
Btw, I havent introduced myself on my previous posts, my name is Jonathan from South Yorkshire.

Footman James insured me on my mini roadster when i was 17 so i doubt they will have a problem with an 18 year old in a minor.

Odd, unless their policy has changed I have my old one here charging me £852 TPFT for a 1971 Mini Roadster with a 1275 tweaked engine! They wouldn’t do me fully comp because of the "heavily customised nature of the vehicle"

Have you tried Adrian Flux? They insured our Moggy for less than £200 with unlimited mileage (including business mileage), also insure modified cars, and they saved us a fair bit insuring our performance car as well! No, I don't work for them

Try AON as the club recomends them and you get a slight discount if your a club member. I shouldnt see why they would refuse you either really, is it a modded traveller.
