Traveller rear doors leaking

Traveller rear doors leaking water.
Will replacing door will it stop water coming in?
Can the rear wooden doors can be adjusted so seal can compressed more

Firstly you'll need to find out exactly where the water is getting in. If it is around the rubber seals, then replacing the rubber seals is probably the best place to start. I found that running a bead of sealant between the roof and the roof gutter (from underneath) also helped in this area. No sealer had been applied originally. By nature of its design, there are many places that water can get into a traveller unfortunately. You have to work your way around the car and eliminate the leaks one by one.

+1 for ManyMinors reply I'm afraid - it's not likely to be as easy as just 'replace the door, problem solved'. That said though, putting a whole new door on is expensive and you'll have issues matching it up, so it's actually worth it solving the problem rather than masking it.

Have a word with Rob Minty at Traveller Timbers, who can talk to you about the seals and whether new ones, which are much harder than your existing ones and so don't compress and allow gaps so easily, might solve your issue. Look also at Woolies Trim catalogue online, who have more seals than Donna Nook :lol:
