RE: DAB aerials
umm, for starters im sure that u need a modern arial port (which will be in the back of ur cd player) and an arial with the right plug for your cd player! as for hiding your arial i do no that halfords stock a "window mounted arial" which you can hide up by your sunvisors, but if your trying to gain DAB id suggest you have your arial mounted on a wing, maybe an electrically controlled one so it will move up and down went the cd player is turned on and off, this is also available from halfords! but if your wanting good signal and reception id suggest you have a big arial! hope ive helped, i really cant type 2day! charly

RE: DAB aerials
Well, I have already got an aerial..... I'll just testmount it when installing my DAB converter.

The aerial needs to match the broadcast frequencies - ie needs to be the length of the wavelength, or a proprtion (half or quarter) of it for optimum reception - that's why in the old days, people used to rig up hugely long aerials to the tops of trees, and in the real old days aeroplanes would trail wires behind them. Should you care - http://www.skywaves.info/aerials.html - or just google for 'radio aerial length'.

I have DAB in the Landrover. The radio came with a "stick on both sides of the glass aerial .. like people have for mobile telephones. Works wonderfully ...
Question is how to hide it on a moggie ..
On a 2 door .. the rear side windows would be a candidate ..
Another thing that I know nothing about but have seen advertised is a DAB car radio that uses the regular aerial .. No idea how good it is just heard it was made ..
