I agree with cam I came across an 1800 conversion at a rally a few years ago and the guy who had only just purchased it, because it was the TC engine, said it imbalanced the car and made cornering an iteresting whats it going to do this time type of experience

There was one somewhere near south staffs/ west mids, but I only heard of it 10 years ago so it probably ended up in a ditch, or having a different engine since then.
The guy was a friend of my colledge chum and fellow Minor fan 'Ed'.
After one rally, Ed showed me a photo of it doing a brake test at high speed on the motorway....
The rear wheels were off the ground!!! :-O
