I find that when I brake in my Morris convertible that I have a noise as it slows down almost as though a brake drum is distorted or out of true? I can also feel it through the brake pedal as I slow down.
I wonder if anybody else has experienced this please or any comparisons of worn drums.
I know that there is nothing broken or worn down with shoes etc and the brakes have been on now for the 4 years or so that I have owned the car.

If you can feel the pulsing through the brake pedal something is amiss.
Maybe one of the drums is out of round/worn/cracked.
The drums can be machined but there is a limit as to how much you can take off.
I would check the shoes are fitted correctly with plenty of material they do wear out eventually,The sound you hear may be the worn shoes making contact with the drum or a build up of dust within the drums itself.
If they are worn then a new axle set are not that expensive.
I would also check for fluid leaks on the system ,adjust and try again.
Check the rear brakes are not binding whilst you're there and as above replace and adjust any replacements.

I can confirm that the shoes were all adjusted and brakes cleaned aproximately 400 miles ago,also no leaks present.
I guess it sounds like replacement drums and shoes and if so, maybe it is worth replcing the front shoes and drums first and see how they perform,followed by the rears if needed?
