Re: for those who like cookies
Contact the seller. I found him really helpful.
His items were set to give a postage discount if you ordered more than one of the same, but not if ordering different ones.
I contacted him on the 2nd because I wanted 2, a front and a 3/4 view and within an hour he'd sorted his pages out to reduce the postage charge. I then placed the order on the evening of the 2nd.
They were posted on the 3rd and they arrived yesterday, the 7th, so just 4 days by 2nd Class post.
Just need the Mrs to make some biscuits now.... They're a good size, far larger than I expected.
The only design flaw I can see is no finger grip to make it easier to lift the cutter off after pressing it down on the dough.

Re: for those who like cookies
I contacted him earlier about the delay and he refunded me no problem, also told me to keep it if it actually turns up.
That's fair enough in my book.

Re: for those who like cookies
I ordered 2 and they arrived very quickly. They worked well, and I am eating a Traveller as I type For those getting into cooking, look for a recipe more like shortbread than pure cookie - a cookie dough mix can be very sticky and difficult to cut, a dryer, crisper bake is better.

Re: for those who like cookies
Just a stray thought... aren’t they called ‘biscuits’ in this country?

Re: for those who like biscuits
sorry says the stupid german for i choosing the wrong wording....
i tried with a recipe like "shortbread", had a lot of problems. Later i was told the dough must be cold for cutting out. Prepare the dough, put it in the fridge until it's cold, roll out, put it back in the fridge, then cut out and bake it
i used
300g flour
150g cold butter
125g sugar
1 egg
some grated lemon peel
10 minutes at 160 to 180 degrees

Re: for those who like cookies
Thank you for your recipe. Do you have a picture of the finished product to go with that?
I think we're going to need a whole new Forum section for home baking and recipes.

Re: for those who like cookies
First attempt by better 'arf, using her usual recipe. Her usual biscuits are a bit smaller than these (about half the size of the smaller one here), so a bit of experimentation still required regards times and mixture consistency.

The one on the right looks a little like the Renault Clio that those Indian jack-the-lads fashioned out of a Hindu Ambassador in the telly ad.
