Has anybody fitted an MG Diaphram pressure plate, (1275 ), to a Morris ital engine with a MG flywheel .
Also if it does fit, will I need a different clutch arm / thrust bearing ?

Re: MG Diaphram pressure plate
Presuming you do not have a 1275cc MG crankshaft fitted.
What MG flywheel do you have fitted?
The MG 1275cc flywheel will not fit the 1275cc Marina/Ital crankshaft.
The MG 1275cc flywheel will only fit onto a 1275cc Midget crankshaft.
The reason it will not fit is that the 1275cc MG flywheel has a register, two dowels and 6 bolts. The Marina/Ital flywheel has no register, only one dowel and 6 bolts.
Dependent upon what flywheel you have fitted will determine if a 1275cc MG diaphragm clutch cover will or not fit without machining work.
You can use the original 1275cc MG clutch arm converted to mechanical operation and provided the diaphragm clutch cover has a thrust bearing plate you can use the 1275cc carbon thrust.

Re: MG Diaphram pressure plate
Hi Alan ,thanks for that .
On further investigation the flywheel appears to be a modified 1098 , the spring pressure plate is stamped 50083,
The clutch plate 57735 . Just trying to identify what l have after dismantling today .

Re: MG Diaphram pressure plate
Thanks for the clarification as regards the flywheel.
I would suggest that the 1275cc diaphragm clutch assy will not fit the 1098cc flywheel as is.
