piping

Post by ozzies »

Its a question of good taste.I have got a dove grey convertible with a tan mohair hood.
I am having the light blue leather (worn out) redone in the original pattern but I am thinking of having the piping done to match the roof colour.
What does everyone think, is it naff? or detrimental to the value of the car. What will the purists think? your views welcome.

thanks Ian

I'm no purist, but it sounds perfectly tasteful - rather nice, in fact - to me.

I work at an upholsterers, And you can buy a kit that enables you to paint the piping around the seats to the required colour. I painted the whole of the seats on a car and the piping and the results are excellant. If the piping is damaged though it really shows it up.
