Traveller number plate lamps

Post by Mark Wilson »

Just finishing the tail end wiring of my Traveller. Should the number plate light connection exit the boot down through the boot floor or horizontally through the rear valance? I replaced the boot floor too long ago to remember what the original provision was!

Thanks

Mark

I had already posted this picture on the other thread but here it is again. The picture was really to show the earth tag - or the remains of it on this particular car! - but if you look carefully you can just make out the red supply wire to the number plate lamps exiting the boot floor through a hole just forward of the earth tag. This is where both the red live wire and the black earth wire should go. there should be a rubber wiring grommet to protect them. There should be no wiring going through the rear valance panel.
