Each to their own, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that. I've seen some beautiful paint jobs over the years, but this one would make me knock a few grand off the price in order to pay for a respray.

Is that flaking paint on the ally roof? Difficult to tell as, for whatever reason, the ebay pictures have been posted in such a way that you can't click and enlarge them like you normally can. Four dustbin lids for wheels too. Interesting.

I'd put a bid in just to give that obnoxious Drew Prickhard a mouthful....not that I have anything against him....
John
P.S Managed to zoom in on the roof but there aren't enough pixles to see properly.

Why couldn't they fit hubcaps?
Anyway, mine appeared on a Netflicks Drama a few weeks ago. I played the part of a serial killer. Got paid £80 for 4 hours 'work'.

Mine's currently 'starring' in Outlander (or so I'm told - never seen the show myself).

Wicker look is awful, doors look as though they ran out of paint. A good car ruined.

Re: Fancy being a TV star?
Anyone got an early Traveller near Cardiff and would be willing to drive it to Barry Island to be used in a CBS/Netflicks documentary one day next week (start of February)? Petrol money and a couple of quid plus maybe 10 seconds of fame for your car. Needs to look like a 1950s car being used as family transport. I'll be there with one of ours as well.
Cheers

Re: Fancy being a TV star?
Guesstimate it to be worth £5,500? Roughly half what they're asking? Maybe knock a few quid off for the Thinners to remove the Wicker stuff?

Just a heads-up; the story of the 'interesting' Traveller, the subject of this thread, is showing on Quest TV right now (9-10pm).

Haha, I bet it isn't HIS money that's tied up is it?
Personalising/customising a car is not a good way to create a sale-able classic car. Most classic car buyers will want something fairly close to the original spec. It is obvious to us that the Minor has been customised but the lovely looking MGC will also not appeal to a purist either because of the non-standard body colour, non-standard seats and trim colour, reproduction bumpers, incorrect steering wheel, side mouldings missing etc etc.

Re: Fancy being a TV star?
Would have done far better with a simple quality respray in one of the 'correct' colours and adding sensible mods. Wheeler Dealers did a Minor better and sold cheaper at£7k. It was a much better car IMHO. Methinks Drew believes too much of his own hype.
