wiper motor degrees for late car

Post by mowogg »

I am lucky enough to have 2 spare wiper motors, one from a 62 claphands wiper, and the other from a late one. Does someone know which degree is correct for a later type wipers?

I am bound to put the wrong one on if i chance it......

THanks

On my mates post Oct 1963 it was a 150 degree gear wheel ( Lucas DR3A ).

I have used a DR3A with 130 deg gear and that has kept wipers within the screen. I did originally have a 160 deg gear and wiper arms were Hitting bonnet and off screen.
The clap hands DR2A used 100 or 110 deg gear.
