Jacking up
Any advice please on the safeway to jack up ( where ? ) my Minor 1000 so that I can remove both front wheels at the same time ! I have a trolley jack and axle stands . Thanks in advance ! Also any advice on jacking and removing both back wheels appreciated!

This is what I use:-
It lifts both front wheels off the ground at the same time and provides a stable base to lift the front of the car.
The lifting block fits snugly between the chassis legs and under the front chassis cross member.
Fits on top of the jack lifting pad between the pad lugs.
Easy to make from wood.

Thanks Phil . I presume that fits between the front chassis legs ? Once up where do you suggest the axle stands are positioned ?

I position the axle stands under the chassis legs in the area of the eye bolts.
My axle stands have a flat top with side lugs and came from Halfords.
To spread the load I use a piece of wood between the axle stand and chassis leg and a piece of anti slip between the wood and chassis leg.
If you have 'V' top axle stands Put the axle stands under the lower thick/thin suspension arms as close to the eye bolt as possible.
Give the car a shake before getting under the car to make sure that the axle stands will not slip. Leave the jack in place and put a spare wheel under the car so that if anything does happen the car does not come fully down to the ground or person working under the car.
As regards the back wheels:- I always lift under the diff housing and put axle stands under the axle tube as far outwards as possible. Again put a spare wheel under the car and give the car a shake.
Never take risks getting under a insecure car/vehicle if it goes wrong it can kill you.
