Insurance...again!

Post by SteveClem »

Being basically lazy,I've not shopped around for a few years. I've got my 5 classics on a multicar policy and the broker is quoting £450, up by10% on last year. Total of 12k miles, salvage, guaranteed value etc.
Lots of people on here have recommended RH,so I've been trying to call them all day. Not a chance of talking to a person, loads of recorded carp then 'all our agents are busy, try our website ' Well,no, I want to talk to a person, please.
Footman James were easy to contact and very professional but far too dear.
Looks like it's back to the local broker then...any problems there and I can walk in the door and grab someone by the throat!

We have used Heritage for almost 20 years, and have found them excellent. Very easy to contact, i.e. real people, based in/near Birmingham and provide everything we need - agreed value, European cover/recovery, etc.

Their phone number is 0121 248 9229 and the website - https://www.heritagecarinsurance.co.uk

They do multicar policies, but not if there are more named drivers than vehicles on the policy. That counts us out as we have 2 'moderns' and the Minor, and each has us + 2 sons as the named drivers, so 4 > 3 and they will not offer cover.

Thanks for that. I've got some time so I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Got my best price from Adrian Flux. Quote on line then telephone to confirm. Agreed value, limited mileage.

I had to call RH yesterday (I've 5 vehicles insured with them) and I got through after 1 minute. My experience with them has been super, although I do know of one person who had trouble with them. They are SO much cheaper than the amazing super-duper specially-negotiated club scheme too... My Minor is £65 per year to insure with them.
