Earth point for rear lights

Post by Leyland »

Hi
I have reached the point with the restoration of my 62 saloon to fit the rear light units. I have kept to the 8 way relay unit as I am trying to restore to original spec.
Can anyone tell me please where the earth connections for the rear light units attach to the bodywork? I had a vague idea each black earth wire was bolted on the number support brackets, but not sure.
As I said I am trying to restore to total original so would like to get this bit right.
Thanks for any help
Ty

Mine is a 61 and the rear lights and brakes are earthed via the bumper fixing bracket on the inside of the boot.
