Re: Spotted today.
I would have stopped but there was already someone else had already stopped to help to move the car to get the car moving again. If there was no one else there I would been happy to help if they needed it.

Re: Spotted today.
Spotted today in Newport in Essex on the main road heading South a lovely white convertible (did not get VRM) closely followed by a gorgeous shiny maroon saloon SBY225. I do not think they are local but if they are give me a call in the Uttlesford Branch.

Re: Spotted today.
Kidderminster was Moggie-free today but made up for it with Rovers. Firstly DPE***J an Admiralty Blue P5B / V8 saloon passing the stations. Secondly a glimpse of a P6 finished in Paprika travelling along Chester Road North

Re: Spotted today.
A neighbour of mine went to Bedale in N Yorks to get an engine for one of his projects, a rather nice mid 70's Wolseley, and spotted these at the farm where his engine was located.
The green one is apparently 1955 and in very good fettle. The black one looks like it was last taxed in 2015. They all look more than reasonable to me.

Re: Spotted today.
Fantastic split-screen heaven! I'd worry about the grey one standing outdoors on grass. It would be a little better standing outdoors on tarmac... on my driveway!

Re: Spotted today.
Didn't want to appear over-ambitious, but so would I although I'd leave the black one for someone else... one black car is enough to keep clean!
If however one was beige...

Spotted today at monthly classic car meet, Old Waggon & Horses, Kidderminster. Sage Green 4-door. Sun visor, headlamp peaks, chromed grille bars, home-made (?) split-screen divider. Nice light beige interior.

Re: Spotted today.
Had to do a long-ish circular journey today. From home to Wolverhampton, then via Shifnal to Telford, then Bridgnorth and back home. Not a Moggie to be seen anywhere.
Instead, near Kingswinford, a 1957 Sunbeam Talbot 90 (or Sunbeam Mk.III) in lovely two-tone Steel Grey over Gunmetal 'Jewelescent' Grey, with an unusual four-number, one-letter VRM.
Then, near Wall Heath, an early (1962?) Triumph Vitesse convertible in Salvador Blue with a Pearl White side-flash and white hood. Two-number, three-letter VRM.
Finally, near Franche, a chrome-bumper MGB-GT in BL Citron yellow (acid yellow!!) with a Webasto-type fold-back sunroof.

Re: Spotted today.
Spotted this little gem this morning in Kidderminster town centre. Managed a very brief chat with the owner. 1953 S-II in Birch Grey. 22,000 miles from new. All original except for tyres, carpets and a re-spray a few years back.

Re: Spotted today.
A birthday gift of a Hornby Mail Coach for my 10-year-old nephew, led in a roundabout way to a talk about the Great Train Robbery (with much help from the internet, I might add!). From the on-line archive of The Guardian, I came across this photo, taken in August 1963 at Leatherslade Farm, Oakley in Buckinghamshire, some time after Messrs Biggs & Company had departed. The lorry and the two Land Rovers were believed to have been used in the robbery and were in the process of being removed for forensic examination, in a convoy headed by the Jaguar (no surprise there) and followed up by a Standard Pennant van (just visible in the background). Of more interest here is the Minor 1000 van. Registered 220FBH (a Buckinghamshire number from 1958/59), it's cleanliness along with the prominent fog lamp, 2-way radio antenna on the roof and opening roof-ventilatator suggests it's a police (dog van, or some kind of mobile r/t unit maybe?) vehicle.
