It can't be beyond the capacity of the administrators to explain and / or simplify this process for us technophobes.

What exactly do you still need the answers to DavidW / Firedrake? The issues raised here relating to photo size have now been fixed, and details regarding how to attach a signature photo are included within the messageboard FAQ's ('FAQ' tab top left of page). Can you both please be a bit more specific about which problems you are referring to as still being outstanding. Thanks.firedrake1942 wrote:nope

Re: How to post a photo
I am truly grateful for the photo sizing issue resolution as my Mac does not like the resize process at all. I have looked at the sig photos faq and can make head nor tail of it. I will look again with the assistance of a teenage daughter (more geek savvy) unless there is a true idiots guide elsewhere

Re: How to post a photo
You seem to have successfully managed to add a signature to your posts - - but the photo has not uploaded. Have you tried following the same process since the photo sizing problem has been fixed? If you re-try adding a signature photo it may now work. If it doesn't I'll try to work out what the problem might be when I get a bit of free time, probably later this week. If the problem is just specific to Mac users it will need to be flagged up with our IT provider.

Re: How to post a photo
My picture may have been too large, 448x252.
I've resized it to 300x169.
In the user control panel, Edit signature, I don't see a way to upload the picture. I've clicked on the IMG button, and have the coding come up ready to have the picture address inserted in the center.
As a test, I'm going to "attach" the photo to this message. Then I'll "Copy image location" and paste the smaller version into the appropriate place back on the Edit Signature page.
Lets see what happens:

Now, having done the above, lets see what my signature looks like.

Similar problem of copying and pasting a URL or ref between the image brackets. I have tried again.

Re: How to post a photo
Apologies if this has been addressed already, but last time I tried to post photos in my restoration thread, I was limited to three images per post. Is that a function of the new site software, or am I doing something wrong?

Re: How to post a photo
I have never been able to attach a photo to a PM. You can attach a link though.
It is a pain not being able to do so.
If photo are required I send them separately attached to 'e' mail.

Re: How to post a photo
I haven't previously had a problem attaching photos to posts on this site but changes have been made during the last few days and now I cannot seem to attach photos! Any clues??
