It looks like a light shade of Rose Taupe . Could be if 1967 , it was phased out in 1968

Difficult to tell but CW's guide and posts on the site may help

If you contact the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT) at Gaydon in the West Mids they can provide you with a certificate from a production trace of the BMC registers, that should include the paint code and therefore colour. as well as other interesting info on your car. There is a charge, quite steep some may say and it can include on the certificate, an applicant supplied photograph It is quite a useful document to have.

Alternatively, you can source the info free yourself (you do not get a certificate), by attending personally archives at the reading room at Gaydon. The museum is a very good day out, whether in a Minor or otherwise.

And,of course, the original paintwork may have faded and will not match to a standard colour..

Thanks for the reply heres a proper picture. Few flakey bits around the car beneath is a greenish grey. The beneath that looks like the original paint which matches the colour it is now.

Bottom picture does seem to show a shade of Rose Taupe.
If in doubt take your boot lid to a paint suppliers and have it scanned and computer matched.
My "Black" Series II turned out to have been repainted with Volkswagen/Audi/Skoda "Ebony Schwartz 041" :D

To match the original colour take something internal and unlikely have been repainted i.e. glove box lid, ashtray surround .

its just my luck that the glove box lids have been painted red  thats why i need a colour match haha
in person it is a bright grey, not like a dirty grey. it wouldnt bother me if it wasnt the original shade. but it matches beneath the light green colour it was once painted. so grey to green back to grey.

TAWP or towp, you takes your pick. La Taupe (towp) is french for a mole.

Pronounced Rose Tawp and is a slightly reddish shade of suede or mink brown.

Its one of those pony aspirational names that marketing 'experts' give to products in the hope that they will sell to us uninformed consumers. Rather like IKEA using all incomprehensible Swedish names for their products when in fact they probably mean 'gristle' and 'snot' etc. A case in point was Ford using exotic Spanish / Italian names for its cars in the 60's / 70's Fiesta / Cortina/ Capri / Transit (lol)

Agreed. 99% sure its GR26 Dove Grey. Rose Taupe is considerably darker.

Unfortunately both Dove Grey and Rose Taupe were made with Cherokee red upholstery so that doesn't help us distinguish. Gaydon will give you a definitive answer. If you do not want to pay for a full certificate they will answer a question for a reduced fee (£6.00) and are very helpful.
